a2 Gallery was conceptualized and opened by two
individual artists, Alfred and Jeff, with a first
one-man showing on 28th September, 2007.
Located at Bangkok Lane, Penang, Malaysia.
Conveniently close to tourist attractions, hotels and
shopping malls, it occupies one unit in a street of
colonial houses that are an attraction in themselves.
The Gallery features local and international artists,
but with a set mission to encourage young and upcoming
artists to show with us, thus providing them with a
platform in reaching out to a wider appreciative
public and avid collectors.
Most of the gallery's collection are of contemporary
modern art piece, but we also have other styles of
artworks for a wider choice.
"Garden Rooms" located at both ground and first floors
of the Gallery, are alternative spaces for rendezvous,
relaxation and refreshment. With an intimate
atmosphere and artistic elegance, appreciation of art
at a2 Gallery is heightened and given greater privacy. |
